BIO:

Charles K. Pitts is president of Gregorian Films Ltd. and Novalis Entertainment Ltd., development companies committed to high quality literary adaptations. GFL’s most recent film is Edge of Madness, based on the short story A Wilderness Station, by Alice Munro - a Cine-Groupe/Credo/Gregorian Films Ltd. production.

Charles was the Supevising Executive and co-writer of the feature film Lives of Girls and Women, winner of the Best Film Award at the Atlantic Film Festival, and nominee for Best Made-for-T.V. Movie at the 1996 Banff International Television Festival. More recently, he served as Co-Executive Producer, Co-Writer and originator of the feature film Edge of Madness.

Born and raised in Vancouver, B.C, Charles has enjoyed successful careers as an actor, writer, and producer for the past decade and a half. Mr. Pitts graduated from high school in New Hampshire and studied English, Drama and Business Administration at Queen’s University (MBA), The Banff School of Fine Arts, and Simon Fraser University (Bachelor's degree). He pursued the acting technique of Sanford Meisner, founding member of the Group Theatre and director of the N.Y. Neighborhood Playhouse, and graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) in England in 1987.

1996-1999: Founding Trustee of SILT, (The Savary Island Land Trust), a non-profit, land conservation group instrumental in the purchase of the Trillium Property, a 360 acre tract on a small ecologically sensitive island in the Strait of Georgia.

2003-2004: Development Committee, Vancouver Playhouse Theatre Company.
